How are you all doing? New guy here. Been checking out this site and I finally decide to register today. Great site, very informative.
I got my Insprion 6000 back on June 2005 and played with it for a while when I went home on RnR back in July. I left it back home when I come back out here. I have few questions about the laptop. Hope you guys can help me.
Ive notice there is a charge gauge on the battery itself but I couldnt figure out how to read it. I am talking about the gauge on the physical battery itself, the one you see when you flip the laptop up-side-down. I read the manual and it said Press the status button on the battery charge gauge. Where is this status button? I cant seem to find it on the battery..
And also, when I order my laptop there wasnt any option for buying the back up OEM Win XP cd for $10 and my laptop didnt come with the Win XP cd. I called tech support and ask for my OEM XP Cd and they send it to me within a week. Today I went to Dell.com and read up on my Order History and saw that there is an invoice for $23 for the CD I requested. Did anybody get charge for requesting the back up cd? I thought they already charge me for it when I order my laptop and the tech-support guy never said anything about extra charges..
Thanks for all your help.
