Why does the battery on the Dell 620 seem to be protuding out of the front? Also What is the the main difference between the 630 and 830? Trying to make the decision on which one to buy?

The D630 is a 14.1" notebook allowing up to WXGA+; the D830 is a 15.4" notebook allowing up to WUXGA.

D630 is the Santa Rosa version of the D620, allowing for faster fsb and Intel Turbo memory.

All 3 of them have the battery sticking out the front, unless you get a 4 cell battery and I think dell discontinued those.

The D630 has a brighter screen then the D620.

The 6 cell battery does not stick out.

I believe the latest revision of D620 screens are also 220 nits brightness.
