Hi all, I just configured two exact same configs, one on the Dell AU site and one on the US site, Taking the 292$ discount into effect they are to the dollar the exact same price (Given the current exchange rate) Which is pretty amazing as usually they add at least 400$ to the Deal (Apple AU im looking at you) or over 100 in the case of Vista.

Also on the product info page on the AU site it states
    Graphic Card
    NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 8600M GT with 256MB DDR3 dedicated graphic memory
But when you go to configure it says
    Graphic Card
    NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 8600M GT with 256MB DDR2 dedicated graphic memory

Also I cant find any battery life info.

Yeah, seems as if the 8600M GT in the new Dell lineup is just DDR2. I know people will say that the difference between DDR2 and DDR3 is negligible, but why not use the better memory? Apple is....

I talked to their support and they say the 8600GTs have DDR3, not 2 and that it is clocked at 700MHz (1400).

Hmm, Wonder if the Australian model is the same. And there is a pretty big performance difference actually. 3500 vs 4000 3dmark06.
