    What is the battery life of Vostro/Inspiron 1520/1500 when it has a 8600 GT graphics card?

    Can everyone who has these laptops please post what battery time they get out of a 9 cell and the spec/activites they are doing?

    I believe it's 4-5 hours as with the 1400.

    manzi, may I ask how you got a free dell travel remote (and the other items for that matter :D) with the 1400? I am soon going to order one.

    What about the battery life if the Vostro 1500 with the 8600 GT and a 9 cell battery?

    BTW i got it by begging and saying the vostro 1500 gets it for free so why cant i have it with the 1400.

    well my 1520 with the 9 Cell and 8400 gets about 5:15, so I would say less than that, 4:30 or so

    What are you ding to get 5:15? What brightness setting, wifi on, Multiple programs running?

    just normal surfing, wifi is on, Pidigin (AIM program), balanced setting on the battery. Full load on I get about 2hrs battery time. Brightness is pretty low almost fully down.
