Does anyone yet know if the 6 cell battery protrudes from the back of the
m1330? Also, how long of a battery life for normal browsing and whatnot does the 6 cell give you?

It doesn't protrude? That's good news, did you see that in a picture somewhere? How much heavier is it? I'd guess it's not that noticeable.

The 9 cell is the only one that protrudes. With the 4 cell battery, the laptop is something like 3.9lbs... With the 6 cell I think it was 4.3-4. Very small increase in weight

i heard the 6-cell will give you around 3-3.5 hours for light computing... not bad at all :)

The advantages of the 9 cell are going to be a longer battery life(obvious), better typing angle(personal preference), and better airflow under the nb. I will plonk for it, if I decide to go with dell instead of Asus.

i agree with sesshomaru (esp. on the typing angle- most desktop keyboards have feet to adjust height, so this basically does that for the xps)

but im also adding a 6-cell if needed for travel (would also make case selection more convenient) or when plugged in

I can see the advantages of the 9 cell, but I personally don't like the fact that it protrudes from the back of the case and I'd rather not have the extra weight. Still, I can see myself using the 9 cell on a long trip or something. I'm thinking of getting a 4 cell + 9 cell or maybe a 6 cell + 9 cell.
