I have an Inspiron 8100 that has a battery that will no longer hold a charge because I leave it plugged in all the time. One thing I notice, though, is that on the 8100, even when the battery was full, it would say "charging (100%)" and have the little lightning bolt icon next to the clock. On the E1505, once the battery fills, it has the plug icon and says "on AC power".
Does this mean it's not trying to charge the battery any further and I don't need to worry about ruining the battery?

On all the battery power devices i had(Cell phone,mp3 player, etc) Once the battery is done charging, it stops chargering and enter trickle charge

You won't ruin the battery by leaving it plugged in. Like the previous poster said, once the battery is full, it stops charging automatically.

Well, li-ion batteries do wear out over time. How old is that battery? I doubt it was a result of you leaving it plugged in.
Battery charging advice on E1505?
