I am going to have 3 hour classes every day Mon-Friday. Obviously i can charge it at night but i need to have my laptop be able to go beyond 4 hours of battery life when disconnected from AC adapter. Should i get the 85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery or the
53 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery . I never understood what those numbers meant. Please lemme know, if your willing explain the meaning behind the numbers as well please. Thanks

The 9-cell is a bigger battery and will stick out the back of your notebook a bit. If you want to get around 4 hours of battery life, then yes either a 9 cell or 2x 6 cells would be a good idea. Electronic devices use a cretin amount of watts an hour. And this is measured in What hours (Whr.) The 85 Whr 9 cell battery will give you a little over 1.5x the battery life of the 53 Whr 6 cell battery.

Not at all. I have the 9-cell and it's all in the battery compartment. You'll get 4+ hours out of the 9-cell doing stanard office apps.

Your right... My bad. I guess I was thinking of the E1405 then. I guess I just assumed the E1505's 9 cell stuck out the back... The battery is actually the same size as the 6 cell exactly.

My dad's E1505 which has Intel Graphic on it, and he said that battery lasted like 7+ hours on lowest brightness. I don't know if it's true or not, but he said that he finished all of his work on the flight from his vacation trip to China couple of weeks ago.

I'm not sure if over 7hrs is even possible... I think around 5-6hrs might be the absolute max for a 9 cell with everything on the lowest.

I think he's pulling my chain. Maybe he is happy about his system that I got him, and doesn't want me to disappoint me even a slightest bit? I guess, I'll have to confirm this when I visit him over the weekend. Don't know if I can spend 7+ on his house though.
