With the 9-cell battery for the Dell Inspiron 9300, what is the average battery life with Video Card on and the screen brightness set to medium.
I have the Nvidia GeForce Go 6800 graphics card.
I checked the reviews on Notebookreview.com, but they all had 6-cell batteries.
Any help is appreciated.

I have a very similar system, and I use the 9-cell battery. So for, I have been able to get over 3 hours of battery life with the 9-cell everytime. I know that this was at first one of the biggest concers for more, but after actually getting my notebook and being able to check it out myself, I am happy with the battery life I am getting, because 3 plus hours is more than enough to handle just about anything except long plane flights.

I too get close to 3 hours but it depends alot on if the hard drive is used alot and the brightness of the screen and if both wifi are on.
I don't think you can bang the disk for 3 hours. -
I can just barely get through a 2hr movie with my 9300. It also has a 9 cell battery. For just web surfing or using Word, I get around 3hrs also. I'm glad I got the 9 over ther the 6 because what's the point of a laptop with a battery life over a couple hours unless you NEVER unplug it. In that case, buy a pc.

With WiFi off and the screen turned down, I get between 3 to 3.5 hours of battery life with my i9300, which is more than you would need for just about anything except plane flights or 4 college classes in a row with no outlets available.

To those with GeForce Go, did you have GeForce power setting (NVidia Properties -> PowerMizer) at Max Performance, Max Power Savings, or Balanced?
