What kinda battery life are you guys getting ?

Mine seemed to be getting almost 6 hours at the start and now I get like if I'm lucky 4-5 hours seems like the battery is already losing steam. Have had my laptop for like less then a mth...

I seriously doubt your battery life has been degraded so soon. Lots of things can effect battery life...one of the biggest effects is screen brightness. Dell delivers their laptops with fairly low battery powered screen brightnesses. If you changed that there will be a large effect on battery life.

Regarding battery degradation, you can protect against this by minimizing battery use. The battery is only rated for about 500 cycles. If you were to let it discharge everyday and recharge it at night it would only last a year and a half. You will greatly prolong battery life if you run it on the AC when available.

5.5 if intensity is turned down 2 notches and Wifi is off. With Wifi on 4.5 to 5 Hrs. It is 30-45 minutes shorter if doing serious multitasking.

I get about 4 and 1/2 hours with mine with wifi on and screen brightness a notch or two down. I have the 9-cell 80whr battery.
