I will be gone for a 3 week vacation - what charge should I store my battery at to minimize battery decay? (full charge, 60%, etc.)

    Thanks!

Remove it from the laptop and store it in a cool dry place at a 40% charge.

How do I keep the dust out of it? Just with a ziplock bag?

You guys are so anal about your batteries. I would just shut off the laptop and unplug the laptop from the wall but leave the battery in the laptop.

It is only 3 weeks. If you charge to 100% & just unplug the laptop it'll probably still be at 100% when you get back.

Just call in the first year and get a new one if it stops holding a charge as well as it did when it was new.

No you don't need to do that for a modern battery.
