I am curious is shipping faster if you choose the basic model with no upgrades, or if you have several upgrades (Ex: Memory, HD, Video card)?
Did you upgrade any parts of your inspiron, when is the ESD?

It all depends what you want on your lappy. I found out that the shipping dates vary based on what parts you get and whether if they have these parts available at the time you order.

it depends on your parts, especially if some of them are on backorder... you know how when you build your laptop some options have "may delay order" under it? Sometimes the stock models will take longer (delay for 3100 graphic card) =O really depends though =) just get the specs you want/need :D
