Apologies if this has been asked before, but can anyone confirm for me please what exactly is provided by the 'Base Warranty - 1 Year XPS Premium Hardware Support (incl. Gaming and On-Site Support)' cover.
I had assumed that base warranty meant 'return to base for repair' but I was advised elsewhere that it is the basic base warranty, plus an XPS premium 'on-site support' service which provides in-home repairs.
However when I try to configure an XPS 1330, I am redirected to a page which tells me that the 1 Year XPS Premium Hardware Support (incl. Gaming and On-Site Support) is just a collect and return warranty, and that I would have to upgrade to the 4 year warranty if I wanted covered for in-home repairs. If that is the case, what is provided as 'on-site support' ?
Any clarification would be appreciated as I would like to be covered for in-home repairs, but to upgrade to the 4 year warranty at a cost of £149 would put me way over budget.
Many thanks
