    Bad News: 1720 Midnight Blue ship date is in October now!!

    I just placed an order 8.24.07 and it said that my order would reach me around October 10. This is so crazy, you would think they would be trying to resolve their issues, but it seems likes its getting worse. :(

    You and I are in the same boat my friend. Except my expected arrival date is Oct. 1-3. Every second of this 40 day or so wait is killing me. lol

    I don't know if it's getting worse or staying about the same...

    If my order ships next week it will have been a 1.5 month delay, which is roughly what you are looking at.

    :) of course - I doubt it's shipping next week, I looked on the website and it looks at though the network card I chose is now backordered.

    It might be a minor miracle if we ever get them!

    Man....go with the white! I had my lappy in 6 days!!!! I have a 1721 and while I have my lappy open and working on it...I cannot even see what color it is as the inside of the lappy is silver. The only time I see my color is when I shut the darn lid!! Actually, I really like the white it is easy on the eyes.

    That's all luck... I purchased a Latitude D830 on the 16th, and it is still in "build." So just because you pick a less popular notebook / configuration doesn't guarantee you'll get it quickly.

    When I ordered mine on 8/7, they told me my ESD was 9/11 and my EAD was 9/14-9/18, about 6 weeks. Which I'd rather have them tell me instead of two weeks and then get 4 delays.

    You're just in line, but not only behind the July people, but the early August as well.

    If you guys wanna take it out on somebody, try the Dell people at the mall? I haven't been there since my order, but next time I go I'm gonna tell them they should put a warning sign next to their stuff : )

    i called to try to switch to blue today...i have right now a esd of sept 7th.. this was with black.. it would have went to oct 24th!!!!!!!! with blue.. i just simply cant wait that long i guess ill have to keep the black one
