I just looked at the status of my order on Dell.com and earlier it was in the boxing stage, now when I look at the status it says if hasn't even been kitted yet...has anyone else had this problem, I placed my order on Dec 2nd.
I called Dell and they said that it is still in boxing...and they don't know why I can't see the status...I chatted with a Dell Rep online and she said that same thing...I was just wondering if any of you guys have had that problem?

I wouldnt trust the tracking systems inside of Dell. I once ordered a Dell DJ and the tracking was really bad...I ended up getting an email saying they wouldnt be able to ship it out until the next month...I promptly canceled the order.... but thats not to say that will happen to you. Holiday season is here and the companies know how important it is to get things out on time, because people talk more about products on holidays and having bad things happening would be bad for the rep of the corp.

Well now the tracking says that it is back in boxing...I also asked the Dell rep if my computer could ship from Malayasia...where it is assembled to the US over the weekend...she said that it could have, but she doesn't know. She says it should be done being boxed today or tomorrow since it has been in that status since Saturday. I am not saying that this is true, but I sure hope so, I want my 9300!!!

My first order was that way, it was in the system for over a week and never made it into kitting, then i got a better deal, cancelled my old order and got a new one at discounted price with the new promotions :750: . -
Just be happy if your machine reaches you by the end of the month, Dell is well-known for having shipping issues/delays. -

I don't know if this is true or not, but I've heard that their automatic phone system is more accurate than their web.

...and complain if you can, it's worth a try. You never know, you might be speaking to a nice rep. and he/she can do something for your troubles. (Atleast what i've heard in the past).

LOL, that is actually true. During my shipment, i called about 10 times during boxing stage (this was before i realize everything), and i supposedly got my shipment upgrade. Although I couldn't tell if that really happened or not. I've heard some users get 50 dollar coupon and other inexpensive items.

I tried calling but the office was closed...I will try again in the morning, but that should be the end of the boxing stage and I should get my shipping info....once again wishful thinking...I will call tomorrow if I don't see any change...
By the way I already got my shipping upgrade because they messed up my initial order...I really cannot wait to get my 9300 I have seen alot of people that are have success OCing theirs and depending on my performance on the games and stuff that I want to try I might just do that...that is a BIG maybe though.. -
congrats on the upgrade shipment. I can't remember, but I think if you call 1-800-624-9897 they have an automated deal that is open 24 hours. Select the option to check on order status. All you have to have is your order number. Its been awhile since I called so i'm not 100% sure what option it is.

I got through, it was because I was on my cell phone and it was messing up the info,....my order is in boxing status...where it has been since Saturday....but I am guessing it will change tomorrow per the forums I was reading on the other forums, I hope it ships tomorrow or thursday so I have it before the weekend...

Yeah, my order is still in the boxing stage and has been since Saturday 12/3...I wondering how long it take dell to get the laptops to the US, I was told 3 days for boxing stage which includes the boxing part...if it is not out of boxing by tomorrow I am going to call dell again and complain...

I live in N. California and this is how my shipping went:
Order the 9300 Monday night 11/28/05
It was in boxing from Tuesday night 11/29/05 until Friday night 12/2/2005
From Saturday 12/3/05 until Sunday later afternoon it was "In-Transit"(which to me means it was sent from the East coast center to the West coast center in Nevada)
I was able to find a tracking number by using my order number(before dell even posted it), and saw that it was scanned in Nevada Sunday Night.
I picked 2nd Business day, and got it on Tuesday December 6!!
So dont worry i was where you were. -
Yeah chat is so much easier. I ordered my 9300 from dell in two weeks i received it, ahead of schedule. I never had a problem with dell. Cept that after a couple days my N popped off and now they are sending a keyboard free of charge in 2-3 bus days. So not horrible but after paying 1400 for a computer and having a piece break off it after a couple days, seems a little shabby. But hey, they got me what i needed.

How did you find your order number before Dell gave it to you? I am just really anxious to get my I9300...I mean like I said it has been in boxing since Saturday afternoon. So that makes it 4.5 days...unless they only count business days in which case today is the 3rd day. If you could let me know what you did to find the tracking number that would be great. Thanks for the reassurance. -
But yes, I do find the Chat with Dell to be MUCH faster than the phone, plus I can listen to music from my computer. -

I created and account online with dell,when it first loads on top there is a link called "my accounts", and then logged in. It shows you order status and info. Then I used my ordernumber and went to the UPS website. Then clicked on "Tracking" and selected "Track by reference number" and entered my ordernumber for the reference. I just happened to get lucky and it showed my tracking number, this only worked after it was in the transit stage for day or so. -
Well, at least your's is stuck at a later stage... mine has been in Order Processing for almost a week... I'm starting to think I won't get it for christmas.

My original order was sitting for over a week before I found a better deal and cancelled the old order. This one is going pretty quick, but like I said boxing since saturday...I was told 3 days and it should be shipped.
Now I am hoping that I get it before the weekend, but that looks very doubtful now... -
If its been stuck in order stage for that long, I would call dell and see what is up. Dell has a bad habit of not notifying you of when something is wrong like credit card didn't go thru, or you need to confirm the order, etc.

You might want to call Dell...depedning on the payment method used it could take a little longer...if the transaction was rejected then they don't notify you usually...so call Dell and get'R Done...

Yeah...that is what mine did too...it went from Order to Boxing in 1 day...from Friday when I placed the order to boxing on that Saturday...boxing takes about 3 business days from what I have read...so you should be getting your lappy sometime next week hopefully..

dell is raking in the money this holiday season it sounds like. so many people are buying the 9300. three people in my school bought one in the last two weeks (this is highschool), i would have to say that is pretty impresive of dell.

I'd like to know about the B130 battery, too. I'd like to find another and use the Dell-supplied battery as a spare. I don't want to put out $130 to $150 for it as a lot of Dell batteries are priced at.

I have been fighting back and forth with Dell and Fedex...Dell put a future delivery request on this order...meaning they don't want it delivered until the 13th ...so I called Dell and they had to put in a request to remove that...I then called Fedex and they said it will not reflect until tomorrow ...dell did offer to send me another printer that I am going to take but I don't know if I will get my computer before the weekend.
I told the manager that this is business critical...which it is but not really as critical as I told him...so he said if it is not resolved to call back and he will rectify it in someway...which I doubt will happen, but hey you guys know how it goes. -
Weekends pretty much in my experience causes all shipments to stop and then resume back on monday.

It shouldn't effect the overnight delivery if Fedex already has it. It should be next business day which would be tomorrow.
I ordered this through home due to the :750: but advised them it was for business...and expressed my disgust with their shipping methods and have a future delivery date then I ordered next day shipping. -
Don't worry about that. You probably will have it by tomorrow. Something similar happened with me. Mine had an estimated date of arrival of Dec 8th (today) and was shipped on Dec 3 (or in reality, last monday 5th) and was received in Miami the next day (tuesday two days ago) while the estimated kept remaining still on the 8th. Believe me, you will have it tomorrow.

Thanks for the encouragement but that was listed on the Fedex website and I called and they said it wouldn't be until Tuesday because of Dell putting basically a "do not deliver before date" on it and since I got that resolved hopefully...it will be delivered tomorrow.

Haha....I work in a fast paced work enviroment so nothing is fast enough for me ...it was scheduled to be delivered on the 13th but it was shipped today...they had a do not deliver before date of the 13th on it....
I figure if I get a T1 circuit installed from E-W coast in 1 day through 3 companies they can ship a 13 pound package overnight with delivery by 3pm -
Let me know if you hear about that battery.
