I just got my E1705 3 days ago, when i was trying to connect my new Samsung D600 cell phone to it, it doesn't connect.

More over, a strange thing is : when i look in connections menu, why does blue tooth card is cable disconnect ? The device manger can see the blue tooth card run, but the bluetooth connection is disconnect-cable disconnect- (not disable), This is really confused me. Any one experience with blue tooth please help.

I already open the back of my laptop to check the bluetooth card, everything is connected properly.

Did you follow the excellent reformat guide that SouthernGirl posted? It's a sticky post you can find at the top of this board. If you followed the guide, did you install the bluetooth drivers?

The problem with the BT in in 1705 is it uses a toshiba stack. The drivers suck. Also the BT that says a cable is disconnected is the BT personal area network, has nothing to do with getting BT connected or not, I disabled mine. The Toshiba stack sucks and is kinda hard to get stuff to connect to it. My treo 650 is very finicky and palm says its the BT stack, but I cant get any other BT stacks to work with it. The correct COM port should be 7, thats what mine set up the BT com port as anyway. Try to set up your phone software or what ever to use that port.

I have the same problem trying to get my Treo650 to Dial up network on my E1705. I hope there is a driver update soon that works.

I have yet to even get my 650 to bluetooth sync to my laptop. No problem on my desktop, of course its only important to me to get the bluetooth working on my laptop!

Ive gotten it to work fairly well with the Treo, you just have to get the com ports set up correctly in the hotsink program and the treo tells you what to do. Also to get the DUN working, get a program called PDAnet. Then leave the BT on the treo on regular and not the DUN setting and it will connect as long as you can hotsink. The reason the DUN will not work in its native state is the Toshiba stacks do not support "local area networking", they only have "personal area networking".
