I have a Dell Precision M4300 laptop with docking station. Is there a problem with doing a BIOS flash while the laptop is docked - or must it be undocked for the flash?

    Thanks,
    Harvey

Yes read the read me details on the home page. Are you flashing vai dos or windows? If it's a windows exe it is better to just undock the unit to be on the safe side.

Thanks. I found at least one reference suggesting to undock the laptop. Now to see (separate post) if anyone has tried the new BIOS(A05)

I have an M4300 as well and the D/dock expansion station. I removed mine from the dock when I flashed to A05.
