I have an e1705 with a 7900GS. I've been playing BF2 at 1024x768 with all settings on high, but I was wondering if any of you have been playing it at different settings (higher res, lower settings, etc) and come to a good balance between performance and eye-candy. Thanks!

You should be able to crank the res up and it should still play fine.

Yeah you should be able to max everything out...Lucky you.

Haha, thanks. Is there anyway to get widescreen res?? Also, is there anyway I can tell my fps? Thanks guys

I dont think BF2 supports widescreen res. As for your FPS, use fraps.
http://www.fraps.com
It tells you FPS and it also lets you capture in game video, very nice little program for gamers.
Oh and BTW you shouldnt be asking about toping out BF2 with that card. I currently play it on a Geforce 6200OC, desktop version, AGP 4X, and I play it on medium-low settings. With a 7900GS, dont be riddiclous, its a given you can top out that game -
A 7800GTX can run Battlefield 2 at 1920 X 1440 at medium at almost 80FPS.
Factor in the lower clocks of the 7900 GS, slightly lower vertical resolution and higher settings, the 7900 GS can probably hit 60FPS at 1920 X 1200 @ high -
BF2 will run widescreen fine, search google, there is a quick way to do it, i ran it at 1440X900
BF2 on 7900GS
