    Average Dell delivery time?

    Hey Everyone,

    I ordered an m1530 yesterday and the estimated ship date was 4/4/08. Does Dell usually stick to these estimated ship dates? How long did it take for you to get your Dell from the time you ordered it?

    It depends on the shipping speed you chose at checkout. :) Others have had bad experiences with shipping, others fine. Mine arrived to me a day early. :)
    Only thing I can suggest is tracking your shipment once it leaves Dell. :)

    I ordered mine 3 weeks ago, and the supposed ship date was a week from today, but i got the laptop 2 weeks ago, and it took exactly one week, from ordering to physically receiving the laptop. Really happy....

    PS. there are many things to look out for when you get your 1530, test all of them (i.e. GPU overheating, Grainy Screen, Static noice from earphone jack, case falling off, etc.) just to make sure.

    didn't have any of the above problems...really happy...^_^

    When I ordered my 1530 back in January (on 1/4), est. shipping date was 1/18. Then on 1/11, Dell called and had to redo the order (due to a problem with the Wireless N cards being on backorder in production).

    I finally received my XPS 1530 on 1/22/08. So all in all shipping time for me took about 3 weeks.

    Daily I checked my order status by phone & Dell's website, to see where the order sat. And, I also called Dell Customer Care for updates as to where lappy was in production. (But this was only because of my order having to be cancellled and redone). ;)

    I don't know if this helps you or not, or if 3 weeks is even average. But do take advantage of the Toll Free number they give you to check on the status, and check online for your order status also.

    I think you will enjoy your 1530, I am ;) :))) Good luck :)

    Like has been said, it all depends. If you want the best estimate you can call in. For a week and a half mine said "information unavailable at this time, so I called and the rep gave me the tracking # because it was already on the way. =D
