Hi everyone,
I'm trying to call the Dell automated order status phone number at 1-800-433-9014 but instead of the immediate automated prompt as I did previously I'm just getting hold music. Is anyone else having this issue?
Thanks.
EDIT: It is working now.
-
im gettin this issue too i've been waiting and waiting omg wat is wrong now???
-
Yea, this has been happening to me all night... Really is getting annoying now. Can't Dell do anything right?
We had issues last night with the Automated Order Status number, so it seems they're having ongoing issues.
Time to go back to the guitar to relax. It's 5:15 AM and I have no plans on going to sleep yet until I get my order status.

I tried it around 2:30 AM and it wasn't working, now all they seemed to have done is make the waiting music louder... I would give it another hour or two and it should be back...
-
The number is still not working and I've been trying since last night too.
-
The number was not working on Sat afternoon and is still not working on Sunday morning. My suspicion is that it is deliberate on Dell's part. The number was giving away too much information on the actual status of the laptop they apparently have no intent of shipping.
-
actully all there is to the call is just the music...
what i do is put it on speaker phone and then get up and dance around in the room....they even have multiple songs...looks like this is o purpose lol -
update: i have been on the line for 20 minutes and counting and dell apparently has a dedicated itunes for their automated calls....the freaking music just wont stop!
-
its Sunday 8 in the morning central time American and that damn music is still on
-
Still on...........Do they even update on Sundays?
-
i had next business day so it should get here on monday but when i use the tracking number they tell me it's invalid ( because dhl doesnt update on weekends)
this purchase has been a hell of a roller coaster -

Hopefully the system is down for updating, etc... and not from being overwelmed from callers with nothing better to do. -
-
Still down, almost 12 hours now...
Looks like it may be fixed only tomorrow, normal working hours. -
The order status page is under maintainance as well. humph....
-
Maybe there shipping ALL of our orders!!
-
Really? It comes up for me. It's just telling me the same information it has been for two days now.
Edit:
I highly doubt that. xD -
Very frustrating not being able to find out my status. Has anybody tried to call customer service?
-
yep, the perpetual hold occurs!
-
LOL, its Sunday morning now and the music is still going strong.
-
*edit*
43:32 minutes on hold. -
i just wonder if one of the unsatisfied customer went and destroyed the whole Dell building...that would be interesting to say the least -
why would dell do this deliberately? Haven't they done enough to destroy their reputation and irritating customers already?
-
Okay, I just called 1-800-433-9014, and it goes directly to music? Anyone have a different number?
-
-
Darn, one of my earbuds just fell in my cottage chesse. Now, I'm hearing lopsided music....
-
Ok, I give up. 2 hours 3 minutes. I don't believe they are answering the phones.
The worst customer service I've seen in a long time.
Well they have 4 days to ship my system or I will cancel and order a Sager.
Off to charge my cell...
Enjoy the rest of the weekend folks. -
we all should call the 800 number, mute our phones (or listen), & keep them on for the next 24 hours (or until they pick up). let dell pay an excessive phone bill for their stupidity & total lack of concern for their customers.
-
-
omfg what is happening i've been trying to call all of last night and now its morning and its still not working grrrr.....
-
They probably shut down the system because those of us who have the ship date of august 28th should have been going into boxing any time now. They don't want us to know they will miss yet another ESD...just a theory...
-
-
pretty sure dell can afford gazillion phone calls, telecommunications are dirt cheap these days, thanks to internet So if u skype Dell, u'd just skyping the kings of skypes
-
Just called and got right thru to a rep (kept choosing the "other" options) and supposedly, I'm in boxing...heard that before
-
-
gotta like those elevator music.
-
The music gets annoying after a while...
-
I talked to a live Dell rep earlier today and he told me he showed no back ordered parts on my order. Of course, that's what I was told one day before my first esd. I won't believe it until my order is delivered to me.

This is NOT how you run a business.
-Tzale -
Thing is, they are already probably faced with large expenses from all of us calling around the country 24X7 for order status. Wouldn't surprise me if they cut it off to save themselves from the hassle of having to deal with thousands of pissed off customers who are going to miss the 8/28 ESD and want to speak with a live rep...
-Tzale -
wow that really sucks....I would be PI$$ED if I was still waiting for mine....they'll get it fixed guys I HOPE!
-
Just read the part of my sig in red. Should make up for actually calling
-
it tells me it has shipped but i can not track it....dhl tells me there is no such number available lol
i bet dell is screwing me -
Nice speed test ya' got there, I bet you're either on Optimum Online or FIOS... I got a 30mbps/5mbps connection from OOL, awesome!
