I'm a newbie so please forgive me in advance if i don't use the right terminology.....
I want a Dell branded Auto/Air adapter for my E1405, not an aftermarket one. After a search of Dell's website, and several furstrating conversations w/ thier "parts" department, I am unable to locate one that "oficially" indicates it is compatible with the E1405.
However, didn't the E1405 replace the xps m140, and isn't the E1405 the same as the 630M?
Can someone reveiw these two part number on Dell's website and give me thier opinion? Many thanks!!!
Dell Part#: 310-6324
Dell Part#: 310-4804

Why not just get a ac-dc converter?

It was like $20 a few weeks ago. -
No, the E1405 is the same as the 640m, not the 630m. I didn't see any dell adapters specific for the E1405/640m, so you'll probably have to go with Kensington or Targus (both very good well-known brands).

I'd say just get an AC/DC inverter. I got one for $27 at Wal Mart (as much as i dislike supporting them) and it actually came with an air adapter too. The inverter allows for the most versatility with what you plug in.
