Just started happening about 30 minutes ago. When remove my headphones from the headphone jack, the sound does not transfer to the front speakers. If I probe the headphone jack with the tip of my headphone's plug, or play with it with my finger it will start playing, or after its playin and I fiddle with it again. My front speakers will go back out.

Thoughts on this problem? Thanks in advance for the help.

Maybe the headphone jack is very sensitive? Mine seem to be really sensitive when I plug my headphones in. It has to be in perfect in order to get the sound right.

You might try reinstalling your audio driver and checking your sound settings. If your sound profile is set for headphones, that could cause stop the sound from coming in thru the speakers.

I have reinstalled drivers a few times. Nothing has been changed in my sound profile. I have problems with the mic jack as well as I have discovered. It seems more like a short or something is loose.

hmm, I really don't know. If you have at home warranty, you might have a tech come out and look at it.
