Anyone know if Atheros mini PCi wirless cards will work ok in Dell notebooks[?] Dell is not a current partner of Atheros and i thought supporting a miniPCI solution is very dependent on the implementation of the PC OEM provider (Dell) since there are usually BIOS or HW restrictions in using over the counter miniPCI solutions in laptops. Dell uses Intel or Broadcom chips.
I wanted to implement the Super G features (108Mbs) of my D-Link router which uses an Atheros chip.
Any advice or tch info on this topic would be great.[ ]

If you can buy the card elsewhere, it will work fine.

if you have mini pci slot in lap it will work... Toshiba uses atheros mini PCI card on there latpop..the only problem is getting the driver...
I tried swapping mine with an atheros card the card gets detected the only thing missing is the driver
if you happen to have the atheros mini pci driver please share it.. -
