    1. Is it good to do a internet order or call a sales rep and tell our requirement.
    2. is there any free accessories available such as remote and earpiece.
    3. Is it possible to order from US website to UK?
    4. The bluetooth I am ordering is is written for Vista, does that mean its not compatible with XP
    5. Is there any possible way to get UK dell coupons :)
    6. I wanted the memory as (1X2048) , is it possible to change that in an internet order,
If possible how? Will they charge extra for that.
    7. Does memory card reader comes default?
    8. will they send a refurbished PC if we are ordering through internet.Or is there any separate site in DELL where u get refurbished once.I am looking for a brand new one.
    9. Please let me know if i need to change my configuration to get rid of issues life HDD noise, dead pixel etc

    1. Is it good to do a internet order or call a sales rep and tell our requirement.
Some people have stated that it's better to call a sales rep, since if you pretend like you are on the fence about some options that you know you want..they may give them to you at reduced prices..

    2. is there any free accessories available such as remote and earpiece.
    No

    3. Is it possible to order from US website to UK?
    Not sure.
    4. The bluetooth I am ordering is is written for Vista, does that mean its not compatible with XP
I'd imagine it would still work, but I can't guarantee that..

    5. Is there any possible way to get UK dell coupons
    Check ebay?

    6. I wanted the memory as (1X2048) , is it possible to change that in an internet order,
If possible how? Will they charge extra for that.
If it's a configurable option than it can be changed....Most people will attest to the fact that you should buy the machine with the minimum amount of memory offered, and upgrade it on your own through a 3rd party if you want to save the max amount of money..

    7. Does memory card reader comes default?
The only memory card you can read with the Vostro 1500 is an SD card.
All other cards, you'll have to buy a USB converter

    8. will they send a refurbished PC if we are ordering through internet.Or is there any separate site in DELL where u get refurbished once.I am looking for a brand new one.
When you order online, you get a brand new laptop. The only way you get a refurb is if you are shopping in the Dell Outlet

    9. Please let me know if i need to change my configuration to get rid of issues life HDD noise, dead pixel etc
There's nothing you can choose that will protect you from dead pixels or hard drive noise. That is luck of the draw, and it's not something that happens as often as you might think. Forums are an outlet for people to complain...You'll find more negative than positive stories..and that's because most people who are satisfied usually stay quiet..

    1. Is it good to do a internet order or call a sales rep and tell our requirement.

Depends who you speak to, i think most of the people getting awesome deals or free stuff over the phone are from the US and canada, the UK are tight soabs when it comes to giving out freebies. Personally since i didnt trust the guy on the phone was getting my order correctly (indian guy, could barely understand) i just went and did it on the net.

    2. is there any free accessories available such as remote and earpiece.

You might get a remote if you call and ask for one, say you saw it in a review or something.

    3. Is it possible to order from US website to UK?

Doubt it. Even if you could the extra charges they would lay on it would make it not worth the while.

    4. The bluetooth I am ordering is is written for Vista, does that mean its not compatible with XP

It should work in XP, theres people who have fully working 1500's with XP on them, dunno if they have the bluetooth doodad though.

    5. Is there any possible way to get UK dell coupons :)

    Yeah, google "UK dell coupons"

    6. I wanted the memory as (1X2048) , is it possible to change that in an internet order,
If possible how? Will they charge extra for that.

I didnt see an option for 1x2048, you would have to call in and ask for it. Even then i think they would just stick in 2x1024 in. Getting the call center people to grasp the concept of having one 2GB stick instead of two 1GB sticks may be a tough task :p

    7. Does memory card reader comes default?

    No idea

    8. will they send a refurbished PC if we are ordering through internet.Or is there any separate site in DELL where u get refurbished once.I am looking for a brand new one.

You get a brand new one

    9. Please let me know if i need to change my configuration to get rid of issues life HDD noise, dead pixel etc

Its luck of the draw most of the time. If you have a 5200RPM drive there shouldn't be noise, dead pixels... yeah.. just bad luck.

Memory card reader should be default. It's in my 1400. It can read Memory Stick Pro Duo, SD cards (Not sure on the size), etc.

Yep...I second that. My Vostro 1500's card reader has labeled on it "SD/MMC - MS/Pro". It will not read MS Pro Duo cards (the smaller ones) without the MS adapter.

It was standard when I ordered...I can't imagine them making it an option.

Thanx oresteez,soviet,waveblade,mux.....Thanx a lot for your valuable reviews.. How about changing my config with 7200 rpm and 15.4 Truelife? Is it worth changing?? or the existing one is fine enough?? onchanging the two will cost me 100 pounds more...but still I am ready to take that hit if it gives me any remarkable changes...

Please help me with this too .. so that i can order my Lappy by Monday....

I tried searching for coupons but cannot find one for VOSTRO 1500 .. can u please help me in this...

the screen resolution is entirely up to the user. depends on what resolution you like working with...best to go to a store and test other laptops to see if u like it..
