    Are the Dell XPS 9530 and Precision m3800 the same?

    Are they the same machine with different model numbers. Similar to back in the day when my Inspiron 8200 was the same as my latitude c840 I think they make the same internal machines with slight cosmetic differences.

    Different GPUs, and one has NFC I believe.

    Try searching the forum, I'm positive this has been asked and answered several times since these machines were released...

    The answer is "pretty much", different badging on similar products sold through different channels. I believe the Precision comes with a Quadro card which is more geared towards rendering and design applications such as CAD or advanced graphic design. The XPS comes with a Nvidia GeForce, more appropriate for gaming. The warranty might also be different based on the channel you buy through.
