    It's possible to get dead pixels with every laptop.

    dell probably won't do anything unless you have like 8 dead pixels

    Ya, threaten to return the computer if they don't do something about it. I can say I'd be downright pissed if I had a dead pixel on my beautiful, soon-to-be M1330 LED display...

    I had one dead pixel on one of the four m1330 i had.

    Luckily I don’t have any :) .
    Try to get a replacement, but I don’t think they’ll easily do it over a single dead pixel (maybe if you have 5 or more). I don’t know whether it’s a standard practice for LCD monitors, because I recently bought an external LCD monitor from a local store, and they specifically told me (even without me asking) that they won’t replace it for less than 5 dead pixels. Luckily they agreed to power up the monitor and connect it to a PC before I paid.
