    Are all new Dell notebooks made in Santa Rosa?

    Hi some are, that includes the 1420, 1520, 1720 and the M1330.
    Benefits are not to big but they are there:
    800 MT/s front side bus with Dynamic Front Side Bus Switching to save power during low utilization
    wireless 802.11n (optional)
    better battery life
    turbo memory (optional)
    DDR2-533 and DDR2-667 ram support
    EFI-compliant firmware (new bios type)
    Intel Dynamic Acceleration leads to better Windows Vista Aero support
    and more i think.

    Not all. Dell still sells non-SR Intel notebooks, such as the D420.

    Eventually, all of them will be refreshed however. There's no sense in selling the older model once you've designed a refresh since they cost the same pretty much.
