People have mentioned best time of year for deals, i.e. September-back to school season & December Holiday season, do you peeps concur it's over this week?
Will there be another $750 off coupon on 12/21-12/28 (+ Holiday game- says redeem by 21st & latest ones now say 28th)?
Over by 12/21 7AM til back to school ?

Dell has been releasing coupons virtually every week, so i would imagine that they will release another 750 next week.
They've been doing the 750 ever since before Feb, but they supposedly were going to stop back in Sept/October. Its kind of hard to tell since we don't know until they are released.

Thanks SG, I hope they do another $750 next week, guess we'll know tomorrow as this one ends 7AM right?
Intriguing to hear they've been doing $750 for approaching one year now, smart marketing actually.
Here is another post of mine from the same thread I started at elsewhere, a bit of it may seem out of context (I'll post the link to give people more replies if this forum doesn't have a problem with outside forum links?):
It's an interesting topic (not only because I'm in the market for notebooks but) where that balance of supply:demand:economies of scale:market dynamics play on when the best deals can be found.
It would seem that during high demand seasons competition would keep Dell prices low even if supply is also low but I would imagine that during lower demand seasons (April, May, June?) that Dell should also throw out tempting coupon incentives...
It would be cool if this or other sites would track this stuff with a chart.
On the EPP issue, I personally still just don't feel comfortable lying if not for the ethics then for the power that Dell may have if they ever choose to investigate for warranty+cc coverage (very unlikely but not impossible-bro is a lawyer). I'm sure I could get an order processed through but in court I just don't see how I could defend it, they have disclaimers everywhere around the EPP site. Your University may participate in EPP however but lots of big corporations still don't (e.g. Citigroup).
Anymore productive thoughts welcome ' '
That was from another post of mine from the same thread I started at:
http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=123297 (mod can delete link if external links are a problem but I now remember seeing that forum linked here-actually that's how I found that forum from this forum -
LOL, its okay about the link. As long as you aren't spamming, I don't see a reason so to remove it.
The next coupon might not be released for a couple of days. So if its not up as soon as the other one expires tomorrow, don't panic. Dell normally doesn't release the coupons when the others expire. They like to spread them out.
As for the EPP program, you don't actually get that good of a benefit if you are ordering from Dell USA's Home site and ordering an Inspiron. The reasoning for this is because the 750 coupons are not combinable with other coupons, and generally the EPP program only offers about few precents off (last i checked with my office it was only like 3%).
Basically, if you live in the states and want to order an Inspiron, the 750 off coupon is the best way to go.

Cool SG, definitely not spamming
Thanks for telling me not to panic if I don't see a new one up when this one expires as I might have otherwise or at least would have been quite disappointed ' Would be nice if they extend the $750 coupon through actual Christmas/next week.
The EPP Member Discount is listed ( http://www.dell.com/epp ) as follows:
System Price up to $800: 2% with 1or2 yr At-Home Service; 4% with 3or4 yr At Home Service
System Price $800-$1600: 4% with 1or2 yr At-Home Service; 8% with 3or4 yr At Home Service
System Price $1600+: 6% with 1or2 yr At-Home Service; 12% with 3or4 yr At Home Service
They had 30% off coupons+the 12% as described above+another stackable $200 off so some people were getting like 47% off! People were ordering through the EPP site even if they weren't EPP members but I didn't feel cool with that personally. I wanted to know more about EPP.
I had a friends Member ID but I'm still trying to get a Health Care Company I work for to participate. Do you know if it is just a sign up or an application process that takes some time?
-Thanks SG -
Sorry, i real don't know about the process for the EPP. You might call dell and see what they say.

Just my opinion, the longer you put off a technology purchase the better-- namely b/c of the nature of the business-- hardware & component prices typically fall b/c newer, faster, better things are always coming out. I have heard that a good time to buy is AFTER Xmas, especially if you are looking at outlett purchases, with all the returns.
