    Hey all,
Just curious if the replacement systems they send are BRAND NEW or if they're refurbished........ and is there even a way of knowing?

    THANKS!

There is probably no way of knowing, but replacements from most companies are GENERALLY brand new unless brand new is no longer available.

Replacements are brand new in the first 30 days with Dell and refurbs thereafter by the computer. You can get a brand new outside of the 30 days but it has to be approved and the program adjusted to reflect the brand new replacement.

Refurbs are obvious. They have refurb stamped on their parts, body and box.

Yup, new system exchanges are brand new while completecare claim system exchanges are usually refurbs but can sometimes be new systems.

As flamenko said, the refurbs will come with a big red REFURBISHED sticker on the bottom of the chassis.....
