Are MediaDirect & media buttons in Vostro the same as Inspiron?

The Vostro and Inspiron laptops are basically the same, but I favor the Vostro's somewhat because (in Canada anyway) it has a 30 day money-back return policy with no restocking fee, unlike the Inspirons (I've read a lot of horror stories on Notebook Review!).

However, it occurred to me from this wording for the Vostro
"One-touch access to calendar, contacts and files in seconds with Dell MediaDirectTM technology" on this page:
    http://www1.ca.dell.com/content/pro.../vostronb_1500?c=ca&cs=cabsdt1&l=en&s=bsdthis page
that the MediaDirect button on top, and the various media buttons on the front, of the business-oriented Vostro might have different functions from those of the consumer-oriented Inspiron.

I would prefer my laptop be more home oriented. So, does anybody know if there is a difference between the Vostro and Inspiron models (with Vista and MediaDirect 3.0 or 3.3) with respect to the functionality of the MediaDirect button and the front media buttons?

No, I don't believe there's a difference between the two. They utilise the same mediadirect software.
