I'm in the process of ordering a Dell Studio 17 with:

    CA Sales Dinker 1307

I've customized my order, and then gave it to him, which was a grand total of 1313.50$.

This conversation has been going on for 30 minutes because he keeps adding items I told him I do not want, and now he refuses to remove them.

He's been adding Office and Anti Virus software and now he refuses to remove it. He keeps trying to upsell me 6GB of Ram and I told him I only want 4GB of ram.

This has to be one of the worst reps I've dealt with and I'm already regretting going Dell.

Where does Dell find these people? I'm beginning to think he's purposely messing with me because no one could be this stupid.

Tell him that he has 60 seconds to remove the extra options that you do not want or you will take your business elsewhere.

Make sure you get his name and badge as well, so that you can contact Dell later and file a complaint. An EECB might be useful for that. It might not help you, but it will help other people who try to order with this jerk later.

Yeah I'm definitely going to file a complaint. He ended up processing the order anyways which came to a higher amount in price because of whatever he added/did.

Now, I'm not one to hate on foreign support because I'm multiculturally open minded, but it seems that all my negative experiences are from India based call centers.

Maybe, maybe not. You could also wager that it is a training issue rather than a geographical one. I'd be tempted to say it is an isolated incident with one person.

If by processing the order anyways you mean they pushed the order through without your consent?
