    I've seen some coupons for the desktops but they aren't as good as the coupons for inspirons. You might try dailyedeals.com

    Thanks, also does dell sell their lower end desktop machines alone? all i can find is packages that include a monitor, my parents dont need a monitor, just a new tower.

    my dad was in the same boat. already has a 21" monitor, kb, mouse, printer, etc...

    so, what i did is jump on one of the dell sc420 server (not sure if it's still the same model or has been updated) deals i found on bensbargains.net.

    basically, i bought him just the (server) tower. it was a p4 2.8 with 1 GB of ram, 2x80 GB HDs for 400 bux.

    it only has integrated sound and video, but that's all he needs. the thing is built like a TANK and is sooooooo easy to work on (i added a burner for him). when you open it up, well, it's just a thing of beauty.

    Well, on the Dell website you can get just the tower. You subtract $20 for taking off a 15" LCD, doesn't even sound worth it, i went ahead and just purchased the whole setup, ill try to sell the monitor on ebay or something i guess.
