Anyone's notebook sleeve ship yet?

So I ordered a notebook sleeve. The original ship date was July 10th. It was then pushed back to some time this week. Now it is July 25th.

I don't really care since my m1330 is supposedly not coming until August 5th but I was just wondering if anybody has had theirs ship yet. You'd think they'd have a pile of these in a warehouse somewhere but obviously not.

 

I ordered the Belkin sleeve on 7/13/07 from Dell's website.. It was in my house on 7/16/07 with 3-5 day shipping..

 

I think I ordered mine on the 13th as well..it was given to me free with free overnight shipping and just arrived today. It's beautiful..

If these are the same ones that I think that you guys are talking about, these sleeves you can buy pretty much anywhere. i've seen the Belkin ones @ Fry's... and I think they're reversible too. They sell other ones that have pockets on the outsides with zippers on them as well.

 

I dunno.. it doesn't say what brand they are.. although, I just went on to the Dell site now and the only have them in two colours. The one I ordered is missing. They seem to do that to things they are out of stock in... boo.

I have a case logic sleeve that is red that I bought at my college bookstore Don't know if you guys care much, but there ya go. Plus I could turn it inside out and it would be gray. although then I would lose the pocket ability it has.

 

They're labelled differently in Canada, I guess.

Edit: Okay, when I look on dell.ca under accessories, they list them as Belkin.

 

where are these sleeves available from anyway? they arent on the Dell AU site, im thinking about ordering one off ebay for $25 AUD delivered

no no, it's cool, although whenever you decide to take it out of the packaging it would be nice to see then. But it did look cool.

 

You can buy these from Fry's... I know that much.

 

i havent opened it because i dont have the laptop and im that way about these things. Time to bust it open for you guys EXCLUSIVELY. brb with pics. post if you want any part in particular or some dimensions.

here they are. You know you all like my sons spongebob pillow. First glance..its awesome. The zipper quality is actually good compared to other members of zip cases. Glides easy, doesnt get stuck or need any real force. Nice and SOFT this case is. I could use it as a pillow if I needed to. Take my laptop out of the sleeve, then use it as a headrest lol.

Definatly NOT reversible. tags on the inside and no zipper or even reversible zipper on the other side.

 

Oh hmm odd. Maybe it was a case logic... either way I do know though that one of the sleeves that Fry's sells is reversible @.@... they aren't Targus.. or Belkin.. I can only think of case logic.

 

You guys got seriously ripped off... there are far superior sleeves with much better build quality than Belkin for cheaper. I mean I'm sorry to point it out, but Belkin is really subpar as far as quality goes.

CaseLogic, New Egg, 13" shuttle comes with a pocket, better build quality and only 16 dollars. The black version has red interior to match ruby red on the m1330. I have been using mine for the m1210 for a while and its the best.

Yep, tsunami proves to me that Case Logic were the ones i saw @ Fry's. That is the one with the pocket - they also make one without the pocke tthat is reversible as well.

I dont particularly agree with his opinoin though.

Definatly didn't pay for it lol. It was overnighted and free of any charge to me.

When I say I would have paid for it, I said so without any research on others. Regardless, this sleeve will do what it was intended to do..be a SLEEVE for my 17" monster. That said, I love it.

 

Would you care to share how you got this for free? Or is that a top secret kinda thing? ;0

That is one of those things I will share with you via PM since it was in no way a "scam" or some ploy to get free things. It was purely legit, but I will not publicly let people know anymore how to take advantage after hearing thoroughly about this drake thing. Pm incoming.

Guys i'm really dissappointed. Becuase these sleeve in the US website are not available for us here in Germany. It really looks nice but I dont know if there is any other way to get it?

i got the belkin sleeve for free also. i just asked the rep and he said yes. you just have to ask them straight up what are you going to give me extra. i asked him and he gave me the sleeve and 3 years extended warranty!

 

And? You do know their is a difference in a 14" and a 17" sleeve do ya? weight, dimensions..the whole nine.

 

No kidding? It's funny you should mention that because on the first page of this thread they're talking about the M1330 and the 14" sleeve that I posted above...
