    Anyone with a 1720 using two hard drives ?

    I was wondering if it's possible to configure the BIOS so the computer boots from the second hard drive, the way you can with a desktop.

    i dont see why it can't. seeing as it doesnt have hardware raid.

    I don't know whether it has the option to boot from the second hard drive in the BIOS though. I haven't seen the BIOS setup of a 1720.

    it does. i went inside and you can set the 2nd hard drive in the device priority.

    What would happen if the Media Direct button were pressed when the BIOS was set to boot from the second hard drive? Would the computer boot to Media Direct on the first hard drive or would it hose the partitioning on the second hard drive?
