I visited the LPL, SEC and AUO websites to see their product catalogues they had for their screens.... I noticed that that the 15.4" WXGA+ did not exist on the AUO website.... So just to confirm did anyone receive such a 15.4" WXGA+ screen made by AUO ?
Here are the weblinks I had gone through :
http://www.samsung.com/global/business/lcdpanel/productList.do?upper_fmly_id=601&fmly_id=611
http://www.lgphilips-lcd.com/homeContain/jsp/eng/prd/prd300_j_e.jsp
http://www.auo.com/auoDEV/products.php?sec=notebook&func=items&items_id=2&ls=en
The LPL and the SEC have all the screen models that DELL uses whereas AUO does not have only the 15.4" WXGA+ and WSXGA+

Do you mean recently?
Because a LOT of people got AUO WXGA+ 15.4" screens earlier this month and last month.
Now they are getting SEC I think. -
I believe many were complaining about grainy WXGA+ in their laptops but were they in a 15.4" notebook ? Or may be now AUO have removed those two models due to problems....

Hi,
Yes - I have a Vostro 1500 (received on 21 August, in UK) and I have a 15.4" WXGA+ (1440 x 900) screen - the Hardware ID is AUO2077, so I assume it's an AUO 2077 model LCD. By the way, I'm very happy with mine! -
i had an AUO2077...as we speak its in the dell depot **hopefully** being replaced by an LG. my AUO was grainy, not as bad as some people on this forum, but it was there. and i don't like grain, so i sent it in. (I have really sensitive eyes...even a slightly blue flourecent light bugs me)

the auo i had was way better than the sec i got ... just fyi

Dell replaced last week my SEC WSXGA+ with a new AUO 2077 WXGA+. I like this one better. Less grainy. Much more brilliant.

I had a really grainy AUO2077 15.4" WXGA+, but the replacement I have now has an LG screen.

So I guess still these screens are circulating around heh.... May be AUO website does not list that model but still the screens are being manufactured..... I just hope I get a LPL screen for my laptop....
Anyone with a 15.4" WXGA+ receive an AUO ?
