Anyone waiting on a 1420 spring green?

On July 26th I ordered an Inspiron 1420 for my daughter who will be going away to college in a few weeks. When the original delivery date came up 8/23 I called up and told them that would not work out for us so they assigned case # changed my shipping to next day for free and after a few days called to tell me the ship date had been changed to 8/13. Since then I've been receiving calls every few days confirming the 8/13 ship date. Last Friday my call came for an update except this time it was back to a ship date of 8/22.
So today I started to search around and have found there's all kinds of issues going on with Dell deliveries, I was totally oblivious to it, but am learning alot now!

Anyone else waiting on a spring green 1420?

Yea that's pretty much what's going on. If your lucky, you'll get the computer shipped out earlier than 8/22. I also ordered a spring green 1420 same specs and esd (of 9/5) as the flamingo pink. the esd i have is 9/5. I believe the pink and green 1420 i bought will come a week before i go back to school ( leave on 9/2/07)

I'm waiting for one too. actually there's a 13 day delay for spring green right now for the 1420.

 

I've been waiting for my lappy! grrr! I need it for school as well.

 

well I'm not very hopeful for getting it when there telling me right now, since you pretty much have ordered the same system 12 days prior to my order and haven't recvd yours yet! Hope you get your order soon!

 

I have to hand it to you, IUcandi, you have the patience of ....a... er, um... something that is really, really patient! LOL I think most people would've changed the color by now, but you have stuck to your guns. It must be quite frustrating, but I imagine it will all be worth it once that pretty green laptop arrives!!
