I posted over in the wireless forum, but not much activity there.
I just receievd my m1330 and I was one of the fortunate ones to not have any problems at all.
My situation is I travel a lot and I'm tired of looking for wifi spots.
My cell phones are with Verizon and I've read that they have one of the better broadband networks.
I'm very new to all this, but after reading some reviews, the Sierra 595U card seems to get a lot of praise. They say speeds are good, but more importantly to me, it works best in low signal areas.
Is anyone else using this setup?

I've used what I believe to be the Sprint equivalent, and it works great. Sprint's software is excellent, too.
If you're in the mood for adventure and you wish to void your warranty on the Sierra device, you could open the USB device and remove the mini-PCI card within and install it into that empty slot in your laptop. But, then, when things like Wireless USB come out for real cheap, you won't have any more internal slots available (assuming you have BT in the other one). -

I live in a rural area and have been stuck with dial up connection for 10 yrs, recently I tried an At &t BroadBand Express card and it wouldn't even connect effectively,I returned it and decided to give the Verizon Service a try. It rocks,I am getting decent speeds and the service has been very reliable.

I had existing service with VZW using a Sierra 595. When I got my 1330, I got the mini-PCI card and did an ESN change when the 1330 arrived. And listed (sold) the card on Craigslist. -
Just get a Treo & buy DUN software and your set with out paying extra fees other than one time fee for the software.

I used to have Verizon, but from my experience Verizon sucks! They are slower than AT&T. THE BIGGEST ISSUE I HAVE W/ VERIZON IS THAT IT IS NOT UNLIMITED DATA, THEY CAP YOU @ 5GB PER MONTH!! AT&T on the other hand is truly unlimited data. My preferrence is AT&T if I have to choose between Verizon and AT&T.
So M1330 really is Nirvana for me because now I have a laptop that I can use for work, entertainment, light gaming, broadband connect, and good battery life! For a Road Warrior (I'm at the airport every week) like me, this is great to have 1 laptop that has everything "INTEGRATED"!.
My only issue w/ the M1330 is how long it's going to last, given the build quality is not up to par w/ the Thinkpads, but then again what notebooks are?
Anyone using a broadband wireless card with m1330?
