    Hi,

I've recently purchased a 1520 and am looking to upgrade the default 2GB to a better suited 4GB (yes, I realise I can not get the full 4). Has anyone upgraded and if so, are there any problems I should watch out for? I'm thinking to get this. Any suggestions? Currently I've found a dual-channel kit for $218US. Thanks in advance.

I had 1GB on my M1210 dell which was upgraded to 2gb 3rd party (unknown manufacturer) and then 4GB supertalent. no problems whatsoever (though you might want to check if Dell warranty covers it- ppl have problems with warranty with non dell memory). So keep a stick of your old RAM. OCZ is usually a great brand, and stable. Not sure what its like with delll laptops though. I use SuperTalent ( some budget RAM) which works great.

Yes, I did. I originally got 1 GB, 2x512 mb sticks of RAM in my 1520. Then I bought a 2 GB stick from Frys of OCZ brand for $89.99. Replaced the one in the back (easier to install) and now I have 2.5 GB's of ram.

I upgraded my m1210 from 1GB to 2BG of RAM using 2x1GB Corsair modules and everything works just dandy.

I upgraded to patriot ram from 1 to 2 gig right after getting the m1210. I used fry's (outpost) and get a good deal at 64.99. Unfortunately, I've gotten two Memory Parity Faults since the install.

I did I bought 2x1GB of Corsair Value Select ram and its really easy to install and you don't even have to disconnect the keyboard. On first boot it asked if you changed ram and then thats it. Works perfect!
