I know theres a few threads about putting XP onto dell laptops, but just wondering if theres any difference with the Vostro's? Mine is a 1500 and I wanna stick XP on to get rid of the annoying HDD "ticking" that Vista seems to produce!

Asking, just in case a few of the xp drivers differ to other models?

    Cheers.

The bluetooth driver will be different, and there's a good chance the dvd driver will be, too. Dell has copies of all drivers on its site.

Thanks, I cant seem to find all the drivers needed for my vostro 1500 under XP but hopefully a few things will be installed automatically.

    Look for 1520 drivers.
