    Has anyone tried Vista on the M1210 with an Intel GMA 950?

    I read that Aero works okay with the Intel GMA 950. Don't know specifics with an M1210, but also don't know why there would be problems.

    The M1210 should be fine for Vista as long as you have enough RAM. It ran decent on my old Latitude C640 (2.0 P-4m, 32MB MR 7500, 512 RAM) minus the Aero interface. It was usable, but the thing was constantly processing away. I reformatted to Linux. :)

    1 GB RAM enough?

    I know having the Nvidia card would cause the laptop to heatup faster...does more RAM cause laptops to heatup faster as well?

    I think 1GB should work, but you'll probably get sluggish performance - I'd recommend upgrading to at least 1.5GBs or greater to get the best performance.
