Hello,
I need some help regarding this app, mine doesn't show in system tray.
I'm running Vista 7 Home Basic x64 SP1 but tried Ultimate also, both 32 and 64.
I tried Quickset from Resource CD and the updated version from Dell's website.
My notebook is a brand new Vostro 3450.
Questions:
1- Does it happen to you to?
2- Do you have Quickset and/or Dell folder in Start Menu/Programs?
Thanks in advance for any info!

Nobody?
Did I ask at wrong forum?
Any help appreciated! -
I'm starting to think either Quickset is useless and nobody uses it, or, everybody uses it and doesn't have the issue I have..
Anyway, I'll be more patient now, but it's so frustrating when something doesn't work as expected.. -
I think you should be able to determine that in the control panel, although I have a laptop model from 2007, but I am also running Windows 7 (x64) and I don't think it has to do with your Windows 7 version, but check the control panel, there should be some type of icon there.

Thanks for your response Mihael!
I will check this tonight after work. Can you please post your notebook's model? If it's not trouble, post your Quickset version too.
The version I'm using is the latest according to Dell's website for:
Inspiron 14Z
Inspiron N4110
Inspiron N7110
Vostro 3450 (mine)
Vostro 3750
If anybody with one of these and using Quickset please post your Windows version and Quickset's version. Also say if you can see Quickset's icon in system tray/taskbar.
Many thanks to all! -
I have the Dell Inspiron 1520 but there wasn't a quickset available for my laptop, while on Windows 7, so I ended up using Dell XPS M1530 Quickset. My laptop is pretty much 4 years old, I got in December of 2007.

Thanks again for your response!
Does your Quickset has an icon in systray? Now I know it's not the same version but I'm curious anyway -

A small update on this: I've just checked my control panel and nothing about Dell there, although Windows Mobility Center is there but I couldn't find any option to put it in system tray...
I hope Dell answer me soon, for me, it's clearly a bug! -
Specs in my sig. No QuickSet icon in the tray. I don't need to change anything there on a regular basis so I am glad there is no icon and it's not a bug. It's easy enough to get to. To open it, C:/ProgramFiles/Dell/QuickSet.EXE. Once there, you can choose the settings you want. You can always create a short cut to it as well.
Anyone running Dell Quickset?
