I've noticed that similarly equipped laptops from just 30 days ago are now on average of 10-15% higher.
Offhand, I've already noticed that paint schemes have gone up from no charge, to an increase to $20 per color outside of black, to now being $50 on Inspiron notebooks.
On the M1330 laptops, I've seen the LED screen jump from $150 to $200 extra.
I invite anyone else to point out increases. Honestly, I'd do it myself, but to waste any more of my time with this company already is an exercise in futility.
It's not enough that Dell would fumble so badly in so many ways, but now they want to pass on the cost of their mistakes to consumers.
Really, its time to reevaluate what your perception of this company is and how you plan to refer it to friends and family. If I owned stock in this company, I'd dump it as fast as possible. Can't wait to see what these problems impact Dell's bottom line. Maybe then they'll learn their lesson and bring back the old Dell from the turn of the century.

Just priced out my m1330 at Dell.ca and the price is the same as when I ordered it at the beginning of July.
-
Actually, I noticed that as well

Changing prices is a way of managing demand too. If they are raising prices on components that are causing delays, it's possible, they are trying steer people towards configurations that have faster delivery times.
FWIW, on the UK site, LED display intially started out as a 89 pound upgrade. Then it went up to 129 pounds, and about three weeks ago went back down to 89. -
I just repriced my laptop and it came out the same.
-
Priced out my laptop and it's actually cheaper without any discounts (the wifi card I paid $40 to upgrade is now part of the base cost). Of course I had the 15% mystery coupon at Dell Canada as well as some other... 'goodies'.
-
I noticed it. Had 2 people that seen my config and wanted to know how much I paid for it. They where getting 140-175 dollars more for pretty much the same config.
-
I guess it depends on the configuration.

My system would be a little more expensive because I used the $325 off coupon... but the two year warranty is now included instead of just the one year warranty, so there's a little bit of savings there...

What i noticed first and foremost was recently the CPU for the Inspiron 1520 was downgraded from a 1.6 to 1.5 Intel Core 2 Duo for the SAME PRICE... and the 1521 base was upgraded from a TL 50 1.6 to TL 56 1.8 GHz AMD Turion processor... but i think $50 was added to the canadian price of $699 to $749... maybe making the AMDs a little more attractive due to the demand for intel?

When I created a laptop like mine, it was $272 more than the $1166 I paid for it. There was no charge for custom colors and there was a "double the RAM and hard drive" special when I ordered.
-
i had to pay 50 for the color but the free 2gb ram and 160gb hdd free upgrade
-
Man, I've seen the color bezels start at $19 when I ordered my machine.
Then they were $46 the other day, then $49, then $50, and now I think they are $49 again....wierd -
There was no charge for any color when I ordered mine, but maybe that was just hidden in the price?
-
Looks like my configuration would have a sticker price $105 higher than the sticker price when I ordered; then again, the coupon is $25 better. As much as I mocked it at the time, the "free upgrades" for an automatic 2GB RAM and 160GB HD really did make a difference.
Anyone notice prices have jumped up on Dells computers after the delay debacle?
