    Anyone know when Dell will have 8700M GT in their laptops?

    I am going to purchase a laptop soon but I was wondering when the 8700M GT card will be in the Dell laptops, and what the price difference would be between the 8600M GT and 8700M GT?

    possibly never?

    8600m gt is the best card available for 15"

    8700m gt isn't strong enough to replace the 7950gtx in 17"+

    Not until Nvidia releases the 8700M GT. As for the price difference, who can say? The 7950GTX was a $400 option.

    (I am not implying the 8700M GT is on the same level as the 7950GTX, just that upgrade options are a complete unknown)

    they already have 8700GT in their laptops more or less. just clock the 8600Gt a bit higher and you have your 8700GT :D

    both chips are 100% identical. the 8700GT is just a bit higher clocked 8600GT, nothing more, nothing less!

    o really? maybe i'll just buy the 1720 now. With the free 2gb and hd upgrade and the 350 off....it looks like a pretty good deal

    Isn't the 8700GT dual 128-bit? Should that make a difference?

    dual rank 128 bit. that basically means 128 bit.
