I have been on my acer 7720 this morning getting it all updated to the latest version of windows. I got me thinking how nice the big screen is. Anyone here using the inspiron 7000 17" 2 in 1? How are you liking it and is it upgradeable? Can you add more ram and swap drives etc? I seems like a compelling device to have. I have my 5000 13 inch for flying, it would be cool to have a big ole 17" for jeep travel for editing photos/videos/blog and doing website creation on while on the move!

Does it have palm rejection capability for when I write with a pen?

I think all dell that are pen enabled have palm rejection in software.

Anyone with any experience with this machine? I am close to pulling the trigger on it.

Do you know what pen would work with this laptop?

The dell stylus would be the only one I am aware of that works with it. You could contact dell and they will be able to tell you which one.

Forgot to attach, see my post above!

Apparently active pens do not work with the laptop.
I contacted Dell. They said the following pen is compatible:
    https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/accessories/apd/a7199883

Now I have to research how a capacitive style pen differs from an active pen in usage.
Would I be able to write notes with precision with this device?

Ok, It was my understanding that the active pens worked with that device, if not, it's just like a rubber tip stylus. That's what my device uses. Not that great. Maybe go for the 15" 7000 black edition. The stylus is compatable with that device.

So with the rubber tip, it's not nice to write on the device? How does the rubber tip compare to the pens on XP-PEN devices?
Do active pens have more precision?
    Are active pens powered?

Active pens are powered hence the name active. There is a night and day difference comparing the two. Active stylus is miles and miles ahead of capacitive stylus. There is no comparing the two.
