I tried syncing both over USB and BT and my device pops up and says that my computer needs to have Activesync 4.5 or higher installed. I was messing around with everything yesterday updating MDC, windows updates, etc. nothing. So I uninstalled SP1 and voila I was able to sync just fine. I have an HTC Touch Dual pocket PC phone as well as a HTC Touch, niether of which would sync after the SP1 install. Anyone have any advice before I say screw SP1 and uninstall it again?

is it an older device? some older devices require that 2003+ compability service is running in background for the sync to work

to edit my lat post after I got my laptop to sync again post the SP1 uninstall I tried installing SP1 again and sure as hell the laptop WILL NOT sync. I did some googling and see that I am not the only one. And to answer your question nekrosoft13 these are brand new phones not even a year old. EVERYTHING works fine without SP1. If no one here can offer any advice I am just going to remove SP1 until MS gets the fix out there.
