They told me within 9 days, with next-day shipping. How long did it take you guys?

I was told it would take 3-5 business days, after 4 days I called and they promised it would ship the next day, the next day I called and they said it had shipped and was on it's way to the DHL depot, 2 weeks later I received an order has shipped e-mail and receive it at my doorstep with next business day shipping. So, took my 2 1/2 weeks <_<
Stupid Dell Indians didn't know what they were talking about when they said when it would ship, or that it DID ship. I proceeded to call the next 2 weeks and they said they were experiencing delays. I think that's the only thing their teleprompter knows how to say anymore, DELAY! -
When was this, hopefully there aren't as many delays anymore.

You don't need to believe me if you don't want, you asked a question and I'm telling you how it is (at least WAS, for me). Don't even bother calling, they can't do anything...demand a supervisor all you want, they still can't do anything...
It's a replacement system, and already has the highest build priority...and they won't have any better information <_< -

I got my 1420 replacement in 3 days, but this was a month ago, when there were little delays.

Yeah, I was also promised 3-4 days. I don't think that's going to happen though. Do they have a "Dell Purchase ID" or a "order number" for the replacements? I would like to track the order status.

i gues sit depends whether a new replacement or refurbished replacement will be sent. refurbished takes time. new is 5 business days most likely
you'll be sent new replacement if you're within dell's 21 total satisfaction period. -
Refurbished? I called the Dell rep a few days ago, and they told me that if you are sending back a new system, it will be replaced by a new system. So hopefully, we all will be getting new systems.

Being that I waited a month for my laptop, and now people are ordering now with est. ship dates of 8/7, i'd say the delays are alot better.

i had vostro 1400 replacment and i got it in 4 business days, but i dont think its new. i mean it looks new and everything, but it was a bit too fast. they "ordered" the replacment on wednesday and it was shipped out on friday. i thought they ship on mondays from malaysia lol... so far, i am happy with this refurbed vostro, altho the space bar is uneven and some other minor problem. i shoulda kept my old vostro ><
my old vostro got 3.7 on vista testing, this replacment got a 3.6 lol. =( -
don't you have the option to keep the old laptop and send back the replacement laptop if the replacement laptop is worse?

Probably, if my replacement is a refurb, they're both going back.
