Well I am considering to buy a Inspiron 15R/ M5010R notebook. I found a killer deal on Dell Outlet for one.

What do you all think about the AMD processor?
The Dell people said its almost identical to the i3.
They said its kinda like Pepsi vs. Coke when comparing them.

    Notebook specs:
    Dell Inspiron M5010R
    Processor- AMD Athlon™ dual-core processor P320 II 2.1GHz
    15.6" LED screen
    3GB- 1333 DDR3 RAM
    320GB HDD (5400rpm)
    6cell battery
    OS-Windows 7 Home Premium(64-bit)

    Is this a decent notebook?

hm.. i dont know much about AMD processors, but according to notebook check its comparable to a T7100/T5670, which i wouldnt say is comparable to a i3.

ram, HD is standard, what is the GPU?

If its really really cheap, go for it, but its not going to be a gaming laptop or anything haha

That's a good deal price wise but whoever told you it's like Pepsi and Coke is wayyyyy off base. i3 is clocked higher, faster per clock, and uses less power.

Mine came in 2 days ago!
    My GF loves it!

Mine only had a tiny (I mean super tiny) thin scatch on the back of the screen.
Looks like a hair is on it.

My only problem was that crappy McAfee antivirus that comes on it.
Yesterday it was going like SUPER slow and kept freezing up!
So I tried to figure it out. Then I saw everytime it froze was when McAfee was trying to do an update.
I updated everything because it was behind on a few updates.
Running like a champ now. (I hope it stays like that lol.)

I bought 3 from Dell outlet! One pink one black and one green. The only problem is the pink one's LCD shows a little bit of pink and green's LCD shows a little bit of greenish yellow. The black one looks fine when compare to the other two. Does this happen to any of you?

Other than that everything is quite nice!

What do you mean? The actual screen when lite up is pink or greenish yellow?
    Ours looks normal.

Yea when it lite up. I think it's just minor thing. I wonder if the LCD color will slightly affected by cover lid color.

I compare 3 of them together and seems LCD of the green one look the best while the pink one kinda washed out. Going to send the pink one back to dell and get a replacement.
