    I just got done ordering my second 1420 after the recent price drops. Does anyone actually have one in their hands? My ship date isn't until 8/9, so I'm in for a loooong wait....

    Why is your ship date so late? I changed my order today as well, and my ship date is 7/23....but I took the anti-glare screen. I'm assuming you took one of the others which had the delayed shipping :(

    edit: maybe I should read your signature too, haha

    I need to cancel my order. Dell Drop there prices a bit, but now with the free 2GB's of ram and the cheap upgrade to 7200RPM Hard drive. But now my my ship date is not till 8/8 =(. Oh well For just above 1100$ this notebook is loaded.

    double, did you get the 1440x900 screen? Right now there is a 12 day delay on orders with the WXGA+ screen

    No, I got the standard screen...but I ordered on the 29th...but I can get CompleteCare + LoJack and an upgrade to a 7200RPM drive for the same price if I just reorder...and I'm worried about waiting longer, because my laptop is being shipped Next day Air in 4-5 days <_<

    I just ordered today and my ship date is listed as 7/19 (with a later ship date first week of August for my Complete Care package as I understand it).

    I didn't, I bought 2 x 2GB of GeIL RAM from NewEgg which just came today <_<

    Anyone who ordered today and got a good ship date, where did you order from? Home or EPP?

    I didn't order a 1420, but I saw one at the mall kiosk today. It looks very attractive to me, and I was pretty impressed overall. I didn't get to test it or weigh it though, as it was pretty far from the edge (and was placed only for display)
