It would be nice/convenient if the subscriptions weren't so expensive...
Has anyone played around with it? If so, what are your reactions on its speed, availability, etc.? Do you think it would be a worthwhile investment as a future upgrade?

I use a Sprint Mogul w/ the SERO plan ($30, unlimited data, unlimited text, 500 mins), and it tethers seemlessly via Bluetooth for EVDO rev 0 (and soon A) speeds. It's a much better deal than paying $60/month for a laptop card, as this way you get a mini-pc & phone as well.
If you need the internet on the go, thats your smartest bet I believe. -
I use the Sprint PC card in my aging Inspiron 8100. I pay 60.00 per month for unlimited data. Where my warehouse is located, I have no other broadband options other than satellite and while the monthly cost there would be about the same, I get much more reliable speeds with the Sprint service and I didn't have to pay $1000.00 up front for the equipment. I have the Sprint internal card on order for my 1520. If it ever comes...

Mobile broadband is a rip off. Beside Sprint, which unlimited means unlimited, the rest of them limit on how much you can use. But if you are getting Sprint, SERO plan is the way to go. I think I might just try tether with bluetooth and see how fast it go.
Anyone get mobile broadband?
