I just want to see who else this happened to and who is in testing. I had ordered 6/27 with estimates ship date of 8/1 then got that call changing it to 8/28 but I am now in testing.

I just got pushed back to 8/28...I am so fed up with this company. They are telling me every company is out of LCDs and I won't be able to find a company that will ship it sooner. Is there only one LCD production company in the world? Is there a shortage of resources? How the hek can every computer LCD monitor that fits into my Dell be non existant for a month? ahh I am mad!

That just made no sense... you can be in production and be in the testing phase of production. Call the 1-800 # if you want to know what specific stage you are in production.

well here's what I think. Most of you people rushed to get it ordered during June - early july which is the time where Dell was most messed up with orders. Their tracking software wasn't very stable and everything was a mess. I bet you that most of your orders had to be reordered in order to set things straight. For people who ordered in late july (after the Canadian BT issue), things started to smoothen out. So when we ordered, our order lists are at the top because the early bird people went through "re-order" processess. So in the end, it turns out that people who ordered early are getting their laptops much later than people who ordered much later.

murdoc might be right. It really annoys me that the people how ordered long ago have to wait longer than people who ordered recently.

once I'm in testing I'm going to jump for joy.

I ordered mine on 7/18. Do you think this was before or after things started to smooth out? If what you're saying is true, I wish I had waited a few more days before ordering, just to be on the safe side. Too late now tho. :(

I ordered mine on 7/27. Dell gave me 8/22 right away. But, today(8/3) its already in Testing. I am guessing it might not take more than a week to ship now.

Considering I am on Next business Day Shipping(Free!!!). :D

I'm exactly in your situation - ordered 6/27 with an original 8/1 ESD, changed to 8/28 - went into both testing AND boxing today. It's still in boxing.
