    Anyone Order the Expresso Brown?

    And if so, have you heard anything else about ship dates?

    I contacted Dell, yesterday. The only thing I'm waiting for is the damn paint job! Laptop is built, just waiting.

    Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    Pretty much all the colors except black/white are delayed.

    In fact, I think the black is starting to get delayed as well.

    I ordered a brown 1520 on 7/20, and its still in build stage. I was also told that mine is only delayed due to the color. After a month and with college starting this week, I think I'm starting to finally get a little impatient.

    I ordered a 1520 brown on 8/2 and it arrived on 8/14... it was a T5250. Sounds like if the display or processor is available they don't hold the coloured lid for those kits that are waiting on other parts. It doesn't sound fair really...but I guess Dell is trying to minimized the number of p.o'd customers. Hopefully you get your notebook soon. :)

    Personally, I've seen a blue 1520 at the Dell Kiosk. So I don't know if I'll like the brown I ordered, but if it's dark as some say, I'll probably get used to it. So how do you like the espresso brown?

    I ordered a 1420 Espresso brown on 7/16 and recieved it 8/15. It is a DARK brown....very much like espresso. From a distance, it looks black. I happen to love the color as I love all shades of brown and dark chocolate is also a favorite treat of mine...it's like holding a large bar of dark chocolate! :)

    It is a very dark brown. I have a hard time distinuishing it from black.

    I hope I like the brown also. I am now having doubts from some of the review pics I have seen. It looks really dark. The pics on Dell looks much lighter than that. Perhaps it was the lighting. However, no matter how it looks I am keeping it, I am not oging to send it back unless there are internal problems. I am not going through this waiting game just for the color.

    It's a matter of preference. I LOVE the look of my laptop. I think it looks the most professional of all the colors (which some real gaming muscle to boot).

    What was your order and turn around time? I have the same config as you, but with a T7500.

    Thing is pretty powerful, eh? I set my up like yours specifically for video editing/some gaming.

    I ordered with IDENTICAL specs on July 31st, and my ESD is August 28th (delayed once from 8/16). This is just absolutely ridiculous -- I can't believe Dell still hasn't shipped it out.
